Gov. Sisolak Signs Directive Covering Legal Proceedings, Licenses And Permits

Gov. Steve Sisolak issued an order aimed at addressing legal proceedings, permits and licenses that are set to come due during the state's emergency shutdown.

The order extends the time people have to file legal complaints about issues where the statute of limitations is within the state of emergency.

It also gives a 90-day extension on licenses and permits that are set to expire during the COVID-19 emergency. The extension is either from the license or permit's current expiration date or after the emergency order is lifted - whichever is longer.

The order also gives a 60-day grace period for business license renewal fees that are due during the shutdown.
