Rep. Horsford Introduces Bill To Fund Unemployment Benefits In Wake Of Coronavirus

Rep. Steven Horsford, D-Nev. has introduced legislation aimed at providing more money for Nevada and other states if unemployment rises because of the coronavirus.

Horsford said in a statement that the bill would immediately provide Nevada with $5 million to help with an increase in unemployment applications, with another $5 million possible if needed.

Also, it would fully fund the cost of extended unemployment benefits, half of which are normally paid for by the state.
