The City of Las Vegas said today that its 70 parks will remain open as it implements new cleaning procedures.

The city says it will send crews of five to 10 people to clean and disinfect what they call high-touch areas two times a day, every day.

It asks the public to practice social distancing while at the parks and said visitors might want to bring take along their own disinfecting wipes.

Clark County and the City of Henderson Monday closed all their park playgrounds and facilities.

Red Rock Canyon also announced several closures, including the Scenic Loop.
