Harry Reid: Brokered Convention 'Not The End Of The World'

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says the Democratic National Committee should determine what happens if no candidate has a clear majority of delegates required to win the party's nomination heading into their July convention.

Reid told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday that a brokered convention is possible and if it happens, "it's not the end of the world."

The former Nevada senator's comments come as many in the Democratic Party are anxious about the prospect of a long, contentious primary race in which a still-large field could divide up the vote.
