Reno Jewelry Store Sued Over Alleged Camera In Bathroom

A Washoe County woman is suing a national jewelry retailer and one of its former employees after he allegedly hid a camera in the employee restroom at the company's Reno store.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reports the lawsuit says the ex-employee at Jared the Galleria of Jewelry placed a camera underneath the feminine hygiene box and pointed it toward the toilet.

The suit says the camera was there from approximately April 23 to May 7.

Reno police say the employee was arrested in May on charges related to photographing someone in a private area. A Jared spokesman says the employee was immediately fired.
