Former CCSD Spokesperson Running For School Board

A former spokeswoman for the Clark County School District is running for the District A school board seat this year.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Amanda Kennedy says her two years of experience working with CCSD will allow her to “skip the learning curve and get right to work.”

Deanna Wright currently holds the Henderson-area District A seat, but she’ll be termed out after 2020.

While Kennedy has worked in communications for the California Assembly Republican caucus since leaving her job with CCSD, her campaign announcement says she owns a home in Henderson and has three CCSD students in her family.
