Las Vegas Metro Police arrested detective Lawrence Rinetti on several charges on Friday.
Rinetti was booked into Clark County Detention Center and faces charges of felony misconduct of a public officer, felony selling, transporting or giving away a controlled substance, and misdemeanor destroying or concealing evidence.
The arrest follows a months-long investigation.

Rinetti was assigned to the major violators and narcotics bureau. He was relieved of duty with pay, according to the release.
He has been with the department since 2006.
