Law enforcement agencies discovered and destroyed a large marijuana grow operation in Nye County last month.
The Nye County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Forest Service and other agencies found 5,742 plants growing in northeast Nye County, the sheriff's office said.
The operation was unoccupied when it was discovered, but officials found indications that workers had recently been there.

The sheriff's office estimates the plants could have yielded about 6,000 pounds of finished product, worth about $15 million.
