Veterans and anti-war activists gathered outside Nellis Air Force Base this week to protest a proposal to expand the Nevada Test and Training Range.
The Las Vegas Sun reports the bulk of the 301,507 acres the Air Force wants to add to the range is in the Desert National Wildlife Refuge. Parts of the site already sit on about half of the refuge.
