Housing Authority Delays Vote On Fate Of Its Executive Director

The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority delayed the vote on determining the fate of its leader.

Executive Director Chad Williams has been the subject of an investigation prompted by a sexual harassment claim filed against him. The findings of that investigation have not been made public.

Board members Theresa Davis and Cheryl Davis both expressed a desire to fire Williams, making a motion to do so at the meeting this week. The motion failed.

The board then decided between now and the next meeting, an ad hoc committee will review the investigation and make its recommendations to the board.

Williams did not attend the meeting this week, saying he believes he wasn’t properly notified.
