Off-Duty Officer Injured In Shooting

An off-duty Las Vegas Metro Police officer was injured in a shooting in the northwest part of the Las Vegas Valley Wednesday night.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the officer's injuries are nonlife-threatening. 

The officer tried to break up a fight near Decatur Boulevard and Gowan Road when one of the people pulled out a gun and pointed it at the officer.

Gunfire was exchanged and the officer and two others were hit.

Later in the night, police found three people involved in the shooting near downtown and arrested them.
