Nevada To Get $1.5 Million In Equifax Breach Settlement

Equifax has agreed to pay $600 million nationally as part of a settlement over a 2017 data breach that exposed the credit information of 147 million people — 56 percent of American adults. 

Nevada’s share of the payment totals just under $1.5 million dollars.  Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford announced the settlement this morning. 

The national investigation leading to the settlement involved attorneys general from 48 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
