Democrat Assemblywoman Swank Endorses Warren For President

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Democrat Elizabeth Warren has picked up her first endorsement from a Nevada state lawmaker.

Democratic Assemblywoman Heidi Swank of Las Vegas said in an op-ed published online over the weekend that she's backing the Massachusetts senator because of public lands plan, among other issues.

Warren earlier this year rolled out a proposal to prohibit new fossil fuel leasing on public lands and expand recreation opportunities, among other ideas.

Swank says she trusts that Warren will keep public lands under public control and protect resources.
