Councilwoman Fiore Elected Mayor Pro Tem

The Las Vegas City Council unanimously elected Ward 6 Councilwoman Michele Fiore to serve as mayor pro tem at a meeting Wednesday.

Her nomination to the post was moved forward by Mayor Carolyn Goodman. Mayor Pro Tem Fiore was elected to the Ward 6 City Council seat in June 2017.

As mayor pro tem, she will assume the mayor’s duties, including running City Council meetings, should the mayor be absent. The position was previously held by Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian.
