A sequence of 60 small earthquakes in Sun Valley, north of Reno, was recorded by University of Nevada Reno's seismological lab Wednesday morning.
A director with the lab says such sequences, while too small to be felt, can either subside or escalate. Earlier this month, more than a thousand people felt a magnitude 3.7 quake in Washoe Valley.
Nevada is listed as the third most seismically active state in the nation - behind Alaska and California.
