The National Weather Service says this week will be the Las Vegas valley’s “hottest week so far this year.”
Typically, high temperatures this time of year average 97 degrees. Highs this week are expected to reach 100 or above.
An excessive heat warning takes effect at 10 a.m. Tuesday and expires at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The weather service says lows this week will be in the high 70s and low 80s, and no rain is in the forecast.
