Short-Term Rentals Remain A Problem Despite Ban In Clark County

Party houses continue to be a problem in the valley despite Clark County’s ban on short-term rentals.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports some Spring Valley-area residents told county commissioners they have seen repeated violations of the law at recent meetings.

A spokesman from the county said they have received just over 100 complaints about possible short-term rentals from January 1 through March 1.

Renting out one’s property for less than 30 days is illegal in unincorporated Clark County.

Last year the county added six code enforcement positions to dedicate to the short-term rental enforcement laws. This year, they are adding four more.
