RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police say an officer has been seriously wounded with injuries believed to be life-threatening in a shooting in which a suspect also was wounded.
Police say both the officer and suspect were transported to a hospital after the incident on a path behind an apartment complex Wednesday.
No identities or details about the injuries to the officer or suspect were released.

Police say they're still sorting out the circumstances but say the officer encountered the suspect while investigating a report of a possible trespasser at a nearby restaurant.
