Celebrity Chef Mario Batali Gives Up Stakes In Restaurant Empire

Chef Mario Batali has given up his stake in his restaurant empire, as well as his shares in Italian food market Eataly, which just opened a location at Caesars Palace last year.

The action comes 15 months after allegations first came out against Batali accusing him of sexual misconduct.

The New York Times reports papers were finalized Wednesday, and the new B&B Hospitality Group, run by the family of Italian chef Lidia Bastianich, announced they’ve bought out Batali.
