2 Lake Tahoe Women Guilty In Prostitution-Robbery Scam

GARDNERVILLE, Nev. (AP) — Two women at Lake Tahoe have admitted their roles in an online scam offering sex for money to set up a man who was robbed.

The Record-Courier reports 19-year-old Saphire Rasmussen pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to solicit for prostitution and 18-year-old Justyce Fasano pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary. They face up to a year in jail and $2,000 fine.

Court documents say they posted an offer on a web site to meet with a man for $500. When they showed up at his Kingsbury apartment last August, he agreed to pay an additional $100.

Prosecutors say Rasmussen went in a bedroom with the man. Fasano then allowed two masked men to enter and rob the victim.

Prosecutor Erik Levin says Rasmussen has helped identify two Douglas County men as suspects in the robbery.
