The Las Vegas City Council has approved nearly $8 million to purchase just more than two acres of vacant land on the northeast block of Main Street and Bonneville Avenue, near City Hall.
The purchase is aimed at securing the property for future redevelopment.
The purchase is being funded through the city’s general capital projects fund.
