Woman Charged In Las Vegas Manicurist's Death Waives Extradition

PHOENIX (AP) — A woman accused of using a car to fatally run over a salon worker in Las Vegas after skipping out on a $35 manicure has waived her extradition from Arizona to Nevada.

Court records show 21-year-old Krystal Whipple waived her extradition on Saturday.

She was arrested last week in Glendale, a suburb of Phoenix.

A warrant was issued in Nevada against Whipple on murder and robbery charges in the Dec. 29 killing of 51-year-old Ngoc Q. Nguyen of Garden Grove, California.

Police say Whipple tried to pay with a fraudulent credit card and told Nguyen that she was going to her car to get cash before killing her as she drove away.

Investigators say the car was a rental that had been stolen.
