Revamp Of MGM Grand Exterior Planned

MGM Resorts International is planning to upgrade the exterior of its flagship resort, MGM Grand.

Executives of the company have been studying how to revamp the 25-year-old property and make it more attractive to pedestrians.

MGM Grand President and Chief Operating Officer Scott Sibella told the Las Vegas Review-Journal the revamp will include restaurants and retail and an opening of the entryways to allow more people to enter the 5,000-room property from the Strip.

It’s the latest in a series of upgrade investments the company has made, one of which included a two-year, $550 million overhaul of the Park MGM, formerly known as the Monte Carlo.
