PG&E Cleared Of Liability In Tubbs Fire

Pacific Gas & Electric is feeling some relief after it was determined by state investigators that the deadly 2017 Tubbs wildfire that killed 22 people in northern California was not caused by PG&E’s equipment but rather by a private electrical system.

PG&E, meanwhile, plans to file for bankruptcy protection next week, as the power company faces lawsuits from other wildfires for which it was found to be at fault.
