Nevada’s taxable sales numbers have been on the rise for 100 months in a row as of October. That total has increased almost 60 percent since fiscal year 2010 according to state taxation director Bill Anderson.
Anderson says the makeup of tax revenues has shifted since then, particularly from online sales. Non-store retailers’ contribution to the state’s tax base has more than doubled in the past 8 years.

The state made $5.1 billion in taxable sales in October. That’s 9.2 percent higher than a year ago. Money from food and drink service led the tally, racking up about $1 million of that amount.
