Investigations Into Henderson Police Chief Find No Significant Wrongdoing

Henderson paid more than $50,000 last year to investigate their chief of police, but none have found significant wrongdoing.

Chief LaTesha Watson was the subject of 10 internal investigations in less than one year on the job.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Watson has told investigators the department ran on a “good ol boys” system, and as such, she expected there to be resistance.

Watson is the first black female chief of the Henderson Police Department. Complaints against Watson include taking excessive time off and unethically accepting Stanley Cup tickets for the Vegas Golden Knights.

None of the complaints were found to have been substantiated.
