LAS VEGAS (AP) — Details of a planned 777-room casino-resort that will rise in the entertainment district of downtown Las Vegas are set to be announced.
The owners of the planned development along Fremont Street will reveal the property's name and amenities Thursday.
It will become the first casino-resort built from the ground up in downtown Las Vegas in more than three decades.
The proposed casino-resort will occupy an entire city block where the Las Vegas Club casino-hotel, Mermaids casino and Girls of Glitter Gulch strip club once stood.
It is not the only planned development coming to downtown Las Vegas. The Downtown Grand casino-hotel announced Monday it will debut an additional hotel tower in mid-2020, while the video canopy above Fremont Street is set to undergo a renovation that will enhance its resolution.
