Brick and mortar, as well as online stores, raked in over $475 million from Nevada shoppers over the Thanksgiving weekend.

According to estimates released Thursday from the Nevada Retail Association, over 1.5 million people in the state spent a total of $475.9 million on gifts, decorations and merchandise over a five-day period.

The senior vice president of the association, Bryan Wachter, said strong spending in the Silver State will likely continue into the Christmas season.
