The Bureau of Land Management will host the December 3 meeting as part of its gathering input as it develops an Environmental Impact Statement on the project.

The Elko Daily Free Press reports the proposal includes an expansion of the existing pit as well as the development of an underground mine and the construction and use of dewatering wells.
The project would increase the total surface disturbance to approximately 7,200 acres.
