Alaska Airlines Announces Service To Everett Airport

 

SEATTLE (AP) — Alaska Airlines says it expects service to and from the Everett airport in Washington state to begin in February pending final federal government approval.

KOMO-TV reports the Seattle-based airline is planning to offer 18 non-stop flights from Everett to eight cities along the West Coast, including Portland, San Diego, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Alaska Airlines will join United and Southwest Airlines in servicing Paine Field at its new two-gate terminal.

United and Southwest haven't announced their schedules yet.

Alaska tickets for Everett flights went on sale Thursday.

Alaska says it intends to increase flights in the several weeks following the start of operations on Feb. 11. Its service will be provided by Horizon Air.
