Outside PAC Spent $34 Million In Nevada Elections

Nevada candidates in statewide races have received nearly $34 million in spending by outside political action committees this year.

In a review of campaign records, The Nevada Independent reports that more than two dozen political action committees raised and spent that total figure, mainly in the gubernatorial race between Adam Laxalt and Steve Sisolak.

That $34 million total is far bigger than campaign spending by the candidates’ organizations.

In the past four months, Adam Laxalt’s campaign has spent $6 million o Stave Sisolak’s $3.9 million.

The totals do not include some groups running “issue” ads, which declined to register with the secretary of state and report their fundraising and spending totals.
