As lawmakers and the public watched testimony Thursday related to the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, Nevada Senator Catherine Cortez Masto said she found what Christine Blasey Ford said to be believable.

"As I watched what I was able to watch, particularly her opening and some of the questioning, it was clear that Dr. Blasey Ford – not only did she bravely share her story and was courageous to come forward to do just that, but it was credible, it was powerful, and it was painful testimony at the same time," Cortez Masto said.

Cortez Masto went on to say she wants the FBI to continue its investigation into Kavanaugh, and that she will vote against his nomination were it referred to the full Senate.
