Man Who Sold Ammunition To Las Vegas Shooter Wants Case To Move To Arizona

The Arizona man who sold armor-piercing bullets to Stephen Paddock prior to the October 1 shooting was indicted in Nevada last month on one count of manufacturing and selling ammunition without a license.

But now Douglas Haig’s attorney is arguing that the case belongs in Arizona. Marc Victor asked a judge this month to transfer the case, based on the fact that Haig only manufactured ammunition in Arizona, and that there is too much potential juror prejudice against Haig in Nevada because of his widely reported connection to the gunman.

According to a document filed this week in Nevada federal court, prosecutors refuted those arguments, saying that while Haig might have manufactured it in Arizona, he sold it in Nevada at least once.
