Las Vegas To Consider Funding New Municipal Courthouse

The Las Vegas City Council will consider funding to help build a new municipal courthouse downtown during their meeting Wednesday morning.

The plans would fund a $56 million, 139,000-square foot building on about an acre of land diagonal to city hall.

The building is slated to break ground in August and be open by January 2021. The city plans to sell up to $40 million in bonds and cover the remaining amount of the costs with cash.
