Four Las Vegas Metro officers were honored Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Justice for their efforts on the night of the Oct. 1 mass shooting.

Officers Jeremiah Beason, Patrick Burke, Monty Fetherston and Steve Morris Jr. were recognized by Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

They were the first officers to reach the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay after a gunman opened fire on concertgoers, killing 58 and injuring hundreds more.
