The Nevada Department of Public Safety has confirmed that it is investigating state Assembly candidate and brothel owner Dennis Hof over allegations of sexual assault.
In a statement Tuesday night, the department declined to provide further details, saying the investigation was ongoing.
Several women have accused Hof of sexual assaults over the past 13 years.

In those cases, charges were never filed, either because of statutes of limitations or a lack of evidence.
