Raiders Unveil Parking Proposal

The Raiders have proposed four off-site locations for home-game parking once the team begins play at its new Las Vegas stadium in 2020.

A proposal submitted to Clark County officials shows shuttle buses would transport people between the 65,000-seat stadium and the parking locations.

County officials have allowed the team to have far fewer than the required 16,250 parking spots at the stadium site due to space limitations.

The report estimates the longest one-way shuttle ride would take 10 to 13 minutes, and it states that the locations and available space at the stadium would provide up to 14,650 parking spaces.

Off-site parking suggestions include the Orleans casino and the northeast corner of Arville Street and Tropicana Avenue, the southwest corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Arby Avenue, and the southwest corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road.

The Clark County Commission will consider the team’s plan at a meeting September 5.
