The NBA and WNBA announced an agreement with MGM Resorts International.
The basketball leagues will now share official data with MGM, which in turn will pay the leagues for access to that data to use in determining the outcomes of various bets.
The deal is seen as a major win for the leagues as they prepare for the anticipated growth of sports betting across the country.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, other than its multiyear length.
