The Bureau of Land Management has opened a public comment and scoping period on the potential sale of 621 acres adjacent to Spring Mountain Raceway in Pahrump.
The sale to the Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club would result in the longest racetrack in the world.
The Pahrump Valley Times reports that the owner of the race facility wants to use the land to expand the current racetrack to more than 15 miles in length.
