NSHE Leader Says Nevada Colleges Will Stay Committed To Diversity Amid Federal Affirmative Action Rollbacks

As the Trump administration reverses an Obama-era policy that encourages affirmative action for college admissions, Nevada System of Higher Education chancellor Thom Reilly says Nevada will remain committed to diversity.

Throughout Nevada’s college system, more than half of the students enrolled identify as being from a diverse background.

Nevada also maintains an open-access approach, and as long as a student meets academic qualifications, they’ll likely be admitted.
