Nevada Unemployment Rate Declines To 4.7 Percent In June

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada's unemployment rate is down, with the state reporting Tuesday that June's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.7 percent, down from 4.8 percent in May and from 5 percent in June 2017.

A monthly report by the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation says year-over-year employment in Nevada increases by 37,600 jobs, or 2.8 percent, since June of last year.

The Las Vegas area added 29,440 jobs over the year and metro Reno added 9,170 jobs. The Carson City area remained relatively unchanged with growth of 100 jobs.
