Firefighters Battling Fire In Arc Dome Wilderness

A lightning-sparked fire in the Arc Dome Wilderness has grown to 600 acres.

The Broad Fire is burning near Round Mountain, north of Tonopah and south of Austin. The smoke is visible from both locations.

The fire started around midnight on Wednesday. The U.S. Forest Service Humboldt-Toiyabe says there are multiple resources on the scene, including four engines, one bulldozer, one water tender, and one hand crew.
