The National Weather Service has extended the excessive heat warning that went into effect Tuesday.
It will now be in effect until at least 9 p.m. Friday.
Lake Mead National Recreation Area hit a high of 119 Tuesday and Wednesday, while Death Valley broke another record yesterday with a high of 127.
