A convicted felon pleaded guilty in Nevada this week to possession of an explosive device at his home in Winnemucca.
U.S. Attorney Dayle Elieson and FBI Special Agent in Charge Aaron Rouse made the announcement Wednesday that 36-year-old Terry J. Hanson Jr. pleaded guilty to one count of felon in possession of an explosive.
He was arrested and indicted in May of this year.

According to information contained in the plea agreement, Hanson met with an undercover employee to see a roll of Thermalite Ignitor cord, an explosive material under federal law, and Thermalite connectors.
He has a prior felony conviction in Humboldt County for possession of a controlled substance. The maximum penalty is 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
