Waldorf-Astoria Brand To Take Over Mandarin Oriental

Hilton’s Waldorf Astoria luxury brand expects to take over operation of the Mandarin Oriental at CityCenter in August.

CityCenter Holdings, a subsidiary of MGM Resorts International,  announced in April it was selling the 47-story Strip property to an undisclosed buyer for $214 million.

The sale resulted in the cancellation of Mandarin Oriental’s management agreement. The luxury hotel opened as part of the CityCenter complex in 2009.
