Students, Educators Rally For Teacher Pay Agreement

Some educators and students rallied outside of Rancho High School Thursday to ask the Clark County School District and the Board of Trustees to honor a recent arbitration and not punish schools for educators’ pay.

After a recent arbitration ruled in favor of teachers and will pay some more for having advanced degrees, a CCSD memo was sent to schools in the valley saying that each school would have to absorb those costs.

The actions somewhat mimic protest around the country regarding teacher pay, but Nevada law prohibits teachers from going on strike.
