Project Neon 70 Percent Complete

A progress report released Wednesday by the Nevada Department of Transportation says Project Neon is now almost 70 percent complete.

But the massive construction project on the state’s busiest freeway interchange isn’t expected to wrap up until July 2019.

So far, 13 of 28 new freeway bridges have been built since work began in April 2016 on the $1 billion effort to widen Interstate 15 between Sahara and the Spaghetti Bowl interchange.
