Clark County Cracking Down On Illegal Fireworks This Summer

Clark County officials are cracking down on illegal fireworks this summer in an effort to reduce the chance of fires and injuries.

Fire Chief Greg Cassell says that anyone caught possessing or launching forbidden pyrotechnics will face fines of up to $1,000.

He said something that leaves the ground and makes loud popping noises - like firecrackers or M-80s, are all considered illegal fireworks.
