Biden Endorses Horsford For Nevada's 4th US House Seat

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Former Vice President Joe Biden has endorsed fellow Democrat and former congressman Steven Horsford in the race for Nevada's 4th Congressional District.

Horsford's campaign released a statement from Biden Tuesday where he called the candidate "a proven champion for Nevada's working families" who will fight to make health care more affordable.

Horsford is running for his old seat, which he held for one term before losing a re-election bid in 2014. Horsford faces five other Democrats in a June 12 primary.

The House seat is currently held by Democrat Ruben Kihuen who announced he wouldn't seek re-election after several women accused him of sexual harassment.

Kihuen has denied the allegations.

Biden has also endorsed Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen as she challenges Republican Sen. Dean Heller's re-election bid.
