Northern Nevada Ranch Named On National Register Of Historic Places

A northern Nevada ranch has been added to the  National Register of Historic Places.

The Wilhelm Lampe Ranch was founded in the Carson Valley near Gardnerville in 1872.

Historians say Lampe raised dairy cattle and sheep on the ranch where he grew mostly alfalfa.

The Park Service says the property includes unique architectural landmarks, including the latest known construction of a Gothic Revival ranch house.
